


Obituary of Gene Jones
Graveside service for Gene Jones, 72, of Decatur will be Saturday, September 25, at 3:00 PM at Alvord Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Hudson Torres Family Funeral Home. Gene passed away at his home in Decatur on September 22, 2021 surrounded by loving family.
Gene was born on June 28, 1949 in Fort Worth to Efrom Jones Jr. and Betty Crawford Jones. He married Debra Mullens on October 30, 1980. Together they had three children and he dearly loved his family. Gene retired from Poco Graphite after 40 plus years. He retired due to a physical battle with cancer.
He is survived by sons, Charles Jones & wife Tyana, Toby Jones; daughter, Jessica Fouse & husband Nicholas; grandchildren, Sara, Erick, Hailey, Logan, Wade, Zoey, Chloey, Cash; and a host of friends and family.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents; and his loving wife, Debra, of 39 years.
